How to use this result: it is a breed-growth reference, not a feeding prescription or medical diagnosis. Parent size, sex, body condition and health history matter. Ask your veterinarian if your dog is losing weight, gaining rapidly, or falls outside its own growth trend.

A responsible growth check

Track your dog's weight by age with context

A dog weight chart is most useful when you record a steady trend over time. It cannot replace a hands-on body-condition assessment: a healthy dog should have a visible waist and ribs that are easy to feel beneath a light covering.

Use the same scaleWeigh at a similar time of day and record the result every two to four weeks during puppyhood.
Look beyond the numberCompare weight with appetite, energy, body shape and your veterinarian's guidance.
Act on sudden changesUnexpected weight loss, rapid gain, vomiting or low energy deserve prompt veterinary advice.
